
It’s no secret hair removal is a nuisance. It’s painful with waxing, it becomes too thick with shaving and it’s too expensive with laser hair removal. So, what does one do when they’re sick of removing hair this way? They try hair removal remedies that don’t damage, stretch or cut the skin! Of course, these won’t permanently rid you of hair, that only electrolysis can do, but it’ll surely delay your hair growth.
So, here are a number of ways you can try and get rid of unwanted hair. May require a little bit of devotion, but we’re sure we’re ready to give it all.
Raw Papaya
What you need:
- raw papaya
- raw turmeric root
What you need to do:
Mash papaya and grate the raw turmeric and mix them together. Apply them to your skin and allow it to stay for around 20 minutes. You can wash it off after that. But, do keep in mind that at time, there may be some yellow stains which might be on your skin for a few days, so if you can’t commit to that, try our next remedy!
Lentils and Potatoes
What you need:
- yellow lentils
- honey
- lemon juice
- potatoes
What you need to do:
Soak a handful of lentils overnight and run them in a food processor, the next morning. Take one potato and crush it in the mixture whilst adding 1 tbsp of honey and lemon juice. Mix and apply the paste to your body and let it stay for 30 minutes. Then rinse off for best results!
Chickpea Flour
What you need:
- half a bowl of chickpea flour
- half bowl of milk
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp fresh cream, if you have dry skin
What you need to do:
First, mix the dry ingredients together, then add in the wet ingredients. Mix well until incorporated fully. Then, apply it in the direction of hair growth and keep it on for 30 minutes. After that start rubbing it off in the opposite direction of your hair growth. Moreover, it is advisable that you wet your fingers too a bit, while you are rubbing it off. After you’re done rubbing, rinse the area with lukewarm water.
