Hair care is essential to maintain luscious locks and healthy roots. The most important steps of hair care are washing, conditioning and combing your hair the correct way. However, you will be shocked to know that 65% of people are washing their hair incorrectly. So here we are to correct you so that you can have a good hair day!
Shampoo those Roots
Did you know there is a RIGHT way to shampoo your hair? And you are probably doing it all wrong! According to hair experts here is what you have to do:
STEP 1: Wet your hair with lukewarm water.
STEP 2: Take about half inch wide squirt of shampoo and distribute the shampoo through your hair.
STEP 3: Foam up the shampoo with a little water before massaging the foaming shampoo through your hair and over the scalp, starting with the roots.
STEP 4: remember to move in circular motion, and DON NOT scratch your scalp with fingernails.
STEP 5: Completely rinse the shampoo out of your hair using water. It is important to thoroughly rinse out all shampoo as any residue will leave your hair looking greasy in no time.
STEP 6: rinse with your head facing downwards so that the shampoo does not seep into the skin of your body causing a poor showering experience.Squeeze the water and shampoo out of the hair with your hands during the rinse. A good hair washing tip is that the wash is complete when your hair feels “squeaky” clean.
STEP 7: Finally, rinse your hair and scalp with cool water. Washing hair in cold water feels exhilarating, stimulates the blood circulation and restores the shine.

Condition those Strands
Who doesn’t like soft and shiny hair? Well the one product that will definitely get you there is Conditioner. But there is also a right way to condition your hair!
Here is how:
STEP 1: If your hair is wet from the shampoo any conditioner you try to apply will run right off and won’t stick long enough to affect your hair. So squeeze your hair to get the excess water out.
STEP 2: Pour an inch wide amount of conditioner in the palm of your hand (if you have long hair, lesser for short), and run this through the ends of your hair, trying to apply it to every strand. Conditioner should be applied only to the ends of your hair, as this is the part that is damaged (it’s the oldest). Putting conditioner near your scalp and roots can actually clog your follicles, and slow hair growth and increase oil production.
STEP 3: Let the conditioner sit in your hair for a bit for maximum effect.
STEP 4: Rinse out the conditioner with cold water. Spend a few minutes rinsing out the conditioner. When your hair is smooth and no longer feels super slippery, then you are done!

Comb the Right Way
Have you been combing your hair all wrong? If you end up with a mass of hair in your comb or brush after a shower then you are doing some major injustice to your hair!
Here is how you should be combing your hair after a shower:
STEP 1: Towel dry your hair for 1 minute, not more as it will make your hair more frizzy and cause breakage. You can also use a soft T shirt to dry out your hair because it prevents frizz.
STEP 2: Detangle your hair using a wide toothed comb, and then brush your hair with a wooden paddle brush. Always start combing or brushing your hair from the bottom first so that the hair gets easily detangled and causes less breakage when you go back to the top.
STEP 3: For frizzy hair, apply a pea sized amount of hair serum to damp hair, then air or blow dry normally.
