Contouring is no more a strange term to most girls these days. And, we recently got our hands on Smashbox Studio Lighting Contour Palette and we were extremely excited to have one more palette added in our contour palette collection.
Here is what we think about this contour palette after trying and testing it out:
Packaging:
It’s a small compact contour kit that fits into the palm. But, its packaging doesn’t do justice to the quality of the brand name at all. It has those drugstore product vibes and we were pretty disappointed with that part.
But, one thing we loved was that it had a mirror inside the packaging.
Shade Selection:

It has three shades in it for contouring, bronzing and highlighting. The shades are pretty great, especially for desi skin tones. The highlighting shade is not very pale which is a plus point.
Overall, the contour shades are a great selection. And, we knew these would be the perfect shades for contouring, the moment we opened it.

Texture:
Its texture is pretty smooth, however it hardly has any pigmentation. You will have to keep building up the pigmentation for the perfect contour. However, the sad part is that it is very hard to blend and looks very chalky on the skin.
PROS:
- Travel friendly
- Great shades
- It comes along with a mirror
CONS:
- No pigmentation
- Not blendable
- Packaging isn’t up to the Smashbox standards
- The product has a weird smell, not very over powering but it’s still there

Verdict:
As much as we wanted to love this product and tried it several times to see if it somehow works out for us, unfortunately, it did not. This contour palette is not BeautyHooked approved.
The better alternative would be Luscious Matte Contour Palette.
