How does one get youthful skin?

For youthful skin, you need to keep yourself hydrated. You need to start a skin care routine which includes cleansing, toning and moisturizing. A balanced diet will help in making your skin look youthful and bad sleeping habits can have the opposite effect!

The best way to handle dry skin in winters?

For dry skin in winters, drink lots and lots of water and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!!

How to prevent signs of ageing?

Usually the signs of ageing appear on dry skin. To fight this, you need to hydrate your skin, have a healthy, balanced diet and exercise! Working out will show on your face- you will get a healthy glow on your face! For topical treatments, there are many options available in creams such as vitamin C, vitamin A, retinol and hylaraunic acid- all ingredients that make your skin wrinkle free!

When should one start anti ageing treatments?

So the trend now is to start using anti-ageing treatments in your twenties. At 30, if you would like to look like a 20-something year old, you have to start earlier on! Around the age of 25, you should start taking care of your skin. You can start moisturizing, using a vitamin C based serum or retinol based serum for oily based skin. If you have dry skin, do not use retinol based serums all of a sudden because it will definitely dry your skin further and make you look older!

How to prevent hair fall?

In young girls, the main cause for hair fall is unhealthy dietary habits. Iron, vitamin D, vitamin B12 deficiencies all lead to hair fall. Firstly, start a diet that contains high proteins and greens and refrain from getting frequent hair treatments like keratin, extenso, etc. Getting your hair redyed every three months is not going to help your situation at all- most hair colours include ammonia and peroxide, that is used in bleaching hair, and cause damage that cannot be undone! So stay away from hair procedures as much as you can.

What treatments are recommended for hair fall?

There are multiple treatments but I like to start off by getting the baseline blood level and then giving multivitamins or topical treatments to clients. If that doesn’t work out, we offer treatments like PRP (platelet rich plasma), mesotherapies and high frequency therapies.

How to deal with early grey hair?

With early greying of hair, there are usually blood deficiencies. For some people it is hereditary, which is unfortunately not treatable. Cases with iron or vitamin B12 deficiency can be treated by combatting the deficiences! Correcting this issue will prevent new grey hair to appear.

How to get rid of open and enlarged pores?

The most common ingredient with which to fight open pores at home is aloe vera gel. Retinol is very good at fighting this issue, but it is only suitable for oily skin! Start off by using it twice a week, and gradually build it up by using it on alternative nights. That is the way to go about it!

The most important skincare step that one MUST NEVER miss?

2 steps please! One is cleansing. It is very important to cleanse once in the morning, and once before going to bed. Then you moisturize. You absolutely cannot skip these steps!

With sensitive skin, my recommendation would be to not use lots and lots of products. The 6-7 step skin care routine is not recommended to someone with sensitive skin. Remember to always do a patch test on your jaw line when trying a new product, and do it for a couple of days before incorporating it into your skin care regimen.

One skin-care product one must NEVER miss?

Sunscreen in winters! Just because the UV index is low and sunlight is not very harsh, it will not stop you from getting pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles! So always use a broad spectrum sunblock! In summers, reapply sun block after every 4 hours, whereas in winters you can stick to applying it only twice a day.
