In The Spotlight For Winters: Hylauronic Acid!

The word Hyaluronic acid sound a bit scary if you are not into beauty that much. It sounds like a pretty intimidating product that nobody would want to bring near to their faces.  What if you tell you that Hyaluronic acid is your answer to flawless, hydrated skin???? YES! you read that right! our cells naturally produce this acid in our body for moisture but with age and other factors the production levels decreases that is why we have to use it externally.

What is Hyaluronic acid

Believe it or not Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the body. It is basically a magnet for moisture and helps our cells retain as much of it as it possibly can. Because of hyaluronic acid our skin feels hydrated, plump and healthy.

Why is it good for our skin?

Hyaluronic acid is super good for our skin, here’s why:

  1. The hydration that hyaluronic acid provides, makes the skin super soft, plump and very radiant.
  2. When the skin is properly hydrated, lines and wrinkles will not be visible to that extent! so if your skin is ageing, this can be a great product to make your skin stay youthful!
  3. Hyaluronic acid is suitable for every skin type, whether your skin is sensitive or prone to breakouts, it will suit your skin type, which is amazing! there is hardly anything out there that is perfect for all skin types, so we are pretty trilled about it!
  4. Research also shows that Hyaluronic acid also has antioxidant properties which means that it will protect your skin against free radicals like pollution etc.

When should I start using Hyaluronic acid

  • For anti ageing purposes

Like we mentioned, our cells produce this acid on its own but with age the production decreases, this is when the lines and wrinkles start making an appearance on our faces. This is the time when you should start incorporating Hyaluronic acid into your skincare routine. It is the ultimate drink for your skin!

  • When the skin is dehydrated

When our skin is dehydrated, there is a greater chance for lines & wrinkles to appear. Dehydration also gives your skin a rough texture which makes it very sensitive as well. Since Hyaluronic acid has the ability to attract and retain moisture, it is best to use it when your skin is dehydrated and forming rough patches.
