How To Keep Your Hair Tangle Free

Tangled hair? Been there, done that. We have all been victims of dreadfully matted, tangled hair and have dealt with it all in our own ways. So, to save you from all the pulling and tugging of hair, we have listed down ways you can avoid getting into this mess.

Condition Your Ends

Never ever skip on conditioner! All this dryness and dirt in the air can make your hair more susceptible to getting damaged and tangled. Conditioning your hair after shampooing it can restore the moisture back into it, making it smoother and less likely to tangle.

Use A Hair Mask Once A Week

Applying a hair mask on your dry strands can do so much for your hair! Now we know all of you cannot be the hair mask kinda gals, but using it once a week for 30 minutes is not really going to interfere with your social life or your busy schedule. If you want people to admire your hair, then you have to give your hair the TLC it deserves.

Avoid heat as much as possible

This might be quite a difficult challenge to overcome, but think about it. If you consistently blow-dry, straighten or curl your hair, just imagine how much heat your hair strands are exposed to! This inevitably leads to dry, dull hair that is prone to breakage, and as we already know, dry hair is more prone to tangling. If you can’t live without your hot tools, we recommend to at least use your hot tools on a low to medium temperature setting, and to always use a heat protecting serum before styling.

How to Comb Brush The Right Way

This has a lot to do with your hair tangling, if you didn’t already know! The first rule of brushing your hair is to brush dry hair. Wet hair is more prone to breaking. But if you have to then always comb or brush wet hair by working from the bottom of hair up. Start by combing the bottom six inches of hair. When this part of your hair is detangled, move on up until you reach your crown.

If hair is dry and tangled, rub a few drops of a hair serum in your palms, then run it through your hair. The serum will help you work out the knots with a comb or brush.
