Beauty HookedPro Tips To Follow When Conditioning Your Hair - Beauty Hooked

We all dream of having those silky lustrous locks shining on our shoulders. Our hair also require special care and attention, just like our skin. Therefore, it is important to choose the right kind of conditioner according to your hair type.

Conditioners not only make your hair look and feel softer and smoother, but it also tames the hair, making it easier to shape and style. Moreover, a leave-in conditioner can help re-hydrate hair that’s chemically treated, is dried up or breaking. But, be careful not to over-condition, as it may harm the hair making them appear flat. So, using the right type for your hair can do so much for improving your hair’s softness and smoothness and how well it holds a style. So, read on below for more:

DO NOT APPLY CONDITIONER DIRECTLY TO YOUR SCALP

It is useful to know that the conditioner should not be applied to the scalp first. If it’s applied on the scalp, that results in making the roots oily. According to colorist and educators, start applying the conditioner from the bottom where your hair is the most dried up, damaged and dull. Then, work your way upwards, for the best results.

WORKING IT EVENLY THROUGHOUT YOUR HAIR

When you’re in a rush in the morning, it’s easy to just slab some on and rinse. But, that’s not very beneficial for you hair. If it’s difficult to get the conditioner into thicker textured hair, use a wide tooth comb.

    RINSE YOUR HAIR THOROUGLY

If the conditioner isn’t rinsed thoroughly, it runs the risk of blocking hair follicles, creating excess debris along the scalp, and dulling its shine. Therefore, spend some time while you’re rinsing, especially if you have wavy or curly hair.

LET THE CONDITIONER STAY IN YOUR HAIR FOR SOME TIME

After you have applied it, do leave it for some time to let it moisturize the hair, and then rinse off.

    NATURAL REMEDIES

    APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Another essential ingredient that can be used is apple cider vinegar which if added in equal parts in a large water glass and then applied on hair can be very beneficial to get silky, smooth hair. After that rinse your hair with shampoo, and you can use a little conditioner too, if you want to make your hair smell fresh and nice.

BANANA + HONEY + OLIVE OIL

Looking for shinier, straighter tresses then go for olive oil, banana and honey. Banana helps in reducing hair from shrinking and olive oil is the deep moisturizing agent. So, take a ripened banana, 2 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of olive oil and blend them well before thoroughly applying. Then cover your hair with a shower cap, before rinsing off with shampoo.
