How To Get Your Skin Ready For Shaadi Season

Shaadi season is soo much fun! but it can be a little rough too, especially if the shaadi is in your family. The sleeping routine gets messed up, you are eating all sorts of shaadi ka khana which btw is YUM! and the full face makeup daily can be a toll on your skin! Keep on reading as we guide you on how to get your skin ready for the shaadi season!

  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

This is literally a no brainer! you have to drink water and alot of it! make sure to eat alot of fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamin C, those will keep your skin hydrated and glowing! Before the shaadi season sets in, incorporate salads daily in your diet which should ideally include spinach and leafy vegetables.

  • Get enough sleep 

A good night’s sleep extremely important, lack of sleep not only gives you dark circles and eye bags but also it makes your face puffy and ruins your metabolic rate. During the shaadi season, it is literally impossible to have proper sleepy, with late night dance practices and gathering you cant get proper sleep during the night, however you should try to catch up by taking nap during the day, an hour or two nap will certainly be enough of a beauty sleep!

  • Amp up your skincare game

Atleast two weeks before the events start, you should start taking care of your skin and incorporate products that will yield good result.

  1. Start off with daily washing & cleaning your face twice a day
  2. Use a toner atleast once a day
  3. Exfoliate two or three times a week, this will get rid of the dead skin and make it glow!
  4. Dont forget to moisturise your skin everyday, no matter what your skin type is!
  5. Use sunscreen religiously
  6. In case you have acne, go easily on exfoliation and incorporate salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in your routine

  • Be cautious on the day of the event

At the day of the event, you need to load up on water, that will give your skin the softness, suppleness and bouncy look. Try not to take caffeine and drink green tea instead.  Keep your skin care routine simple yet effective, dont use any new products.

  • Cleanse after the event

Once you are done with the shaadi event, make sure to double cleanse your face after the event. The more makeup we apply, the harder we have to remove the makeup. To double cleanse, make sure to use an

Don’t worry about any extra steps — they can be done the next morning. Lastly, if your events last more than two or three days, then add back in some exfoliation.
