How To Get Your Skin Glowing For Eid

Eid is JUST around the corner and isn’t this time of the year the best? But during Ramadan, the sleeping routine gets messed up, you are eating all sorts of fried stuff which btw is YUM! and the lesser water intake combined with fried food? Disaster recipe for your skin! Keep on reading as we guide you on how to get your skin ready for Eid.

  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

This is literally a no brainer! you have to drink water and a lot of it in the eating window! Ditch the pakoras and make sure to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamin C, those will keep your skin hydrated and glowing! Now is the time to undo the damage and incorporate salads daily in your diet which should ideally include spinach and leafy vegetables.

  • Get enough sleep

A good night’s sleep extremely important, lack of sleep not only gives you dark circles and eye bags but also it makes your face puffy and ruins your metabolic rate. During Ramadan, most people stay up till Sahoor which may be easier to do, but it isn’t the best for your overall health. If you can’t manage a proper night’s sleep, you should try to catch up by taking nap during the day, an hour or two nap will certainly be enough beauty sleep!

  • Amp up your skincare game

At least two weeks before Eid, you should start taking care of your skin and incorporate products that will yield good result.

  1. Start off with daily washing & cleaning your face twice a day
  2. Use a toner at least once a day
  3. Exfoliate two or three times a week, this will get rid of the dead skin and make it glow!
  4. Don’t forget to moisturise your skin every day, no matter what your skin type is!
  5. Use sunscreen religiously
  6. In case you have acne, go easy on exfoliation and incorporate salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in your routine
