Hair Myths Debunked!
Hair myths debunk alert! We get hundreds of messages a day about hair concerns and it is incredibly shocking as to how, even in 2021, people believe in all these myths which leads to them constantly worrying about their hair!
Hair Myth no. 1
Braids, buns and ponytails are great to style your hair with daily for better hair health. Styling your hair in buns and ponytails or braids are great however thinking that it can “protect” your hair or improve your hair’s health is false. In fact, use any of these styles on the daily basis can receding hairline or even breakage, which is the opposite of good!
Hair Myth no. 2
2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is the same as using them separately. It’s just like spf in foundation, which if you didn’t know it is no good! If you try and pick 2 in 1 products thinking they are just as good as one targeted product, please stop. We highly suggest picking a shampoo and conditioner based on your hair’s needs and type. 2 in 1 products are rarely good!
Hair Myth no. 3
Cutting your hair frequently makes your hair grow faster (and something about moon’s date?). Cutting your hair often does not make your hair grow faster at all. It keeps your hair looking fresh and clean, sure! But your hair grows from the roots guys, not the tips so how can it possibly be of any help?
Hair Myth no. 4
Pulling out grey hair gives you more grey hair. Your grey hair does not magically multiply so stopping to pluck your hair isn’t because they’ll grow more, but because you can damage your hair follicles and can start getting bald patches eventually! Book an appointment, cover the grey or embrace it!
