Fix Your Dry Hair For Good!

Dry hair is an issue that most of us face especially in the winter, there can be many reasons for dry hair, constantly heat styling, hair dyes and not taking proper care of hair all lead to dry hair. There has to be damage control in such a scenario. Check out these tips & tricks you can incorporate to ensure that you hair are not as dry!

Trim your hair

It might be a good idea to get a trim if your hair is too dry. Even if you dont have long locks, you can still opt for a trim as split ends make your hair look hard, dry and coarse. Get the unhealthy part trimmed off so that fresh hair can growth instead.

Add Omega-3 in your diet 

Marine proteins are really good for hair as it prevents hair from thinning and make them look shinier, you can naturally get omega -3 from salmon, tuna, sardines, mackerel but you can always incorporate supplements.

Reduce hair styling

This really is a no brainer, one of the major causes of dry hair is heat styling so if you are straightening your hair too much or using curler on a daily basis, you need to cut down on it. You hair can also be too dry because they can losing moisture too quickly, after shower instead of air dying, try wrapping up your hair in a towel or cloth so that hair retain the moisture.

Always use a heat protector 

Although you should avoid heat styling as much as possible but when you cant, you have to use a heat protector. It basically forms layer on your hair that doesn’t let the heat damage them or make them too dry & brittle.

Use essential oil 

Essential oils are quite useful for hair & skin, it is especially helpful for dry hair, use Moroccan argan oil, take few drop and use it at the ends of of your hair to give them supple look. You can also take coconut oil and add argan oil, peppermint & lavender oil, mix them well and apply it on hair to reduce dryness.

 Use Coconut oil 

Coconut oil naturally fills in the gap that has been damaged by the sun heat or sun,  it will improve the appearance of your strands by smoothing them out. On a weekly basis be sure to deep condition your hair with it. All you need to do it:

  • Take some coconut oil and start rubbing it on your scalp & length of hair
  • Saturate your hair with the oil but dont soak it
  • Keep it on for about half and hour and rinse
