
Being comfortable in your skin is a huge part of feeling beautiful, however comfort can be a bit of a reach when you are faced with pigmentation and discolouration on the skin. We need to understand the complexity of our system and how the skin cells work, and if damaged, how it effects the the production of melanin in our skin. While, pigmentation may only affect patches on your face, it may as well be possible that your entire body be affected! To prevent pigmentation you should and must avoid direct exposure to the sun, without a good sunscreen and take special care of it. However, if it has already happened, then that can be sorted and fixed with the use of some easy remedies for pigmentation.

LEMON & HONEY
What you need: 1 lemon and 2 tsp of organic honey
What you need to do: You need to mix honey with squeezed lemon very well. Then, apply it onto your skin for 15 minutes and let stay. And, wash off with water. (IF it irritates, take it off immediately, because it depends on your skin type).
Why you need this: Â Lemon has great lightening and bleaching qualities and honey is there to make the mixture more gentle and also works as a good moisturizer. Repeat this twice a week until you notice a difference.

POTATOE
What you need: 1 clean, fresh potato
What you need to do: Split the potato into half and add a few drops of water to the exposed side. Then rub or massage the potato on the area where you experience pigmentation. Wash it off with lukewarm water in 10 minutes.
Why you need this: Potatoes contain enzymes that aid in lightening pigmentation and dark spots, which make them the perfect remedy for this!

TURMERIC & LEMON JUICEÂ
What you need: 1 tbsp lemon and 1 tbsp turmeric powder
What you need to do: You need to squeeze 1 tbsp lemon juice into 1 tbsp turmeric powder and mix the paste well. Apply the paste onto your affected areas and then keep on for 15 minutes. Then, wash off after. (IF, it irritates, take it off immediately).
Why you need this: Turmeric helps maintain pH levels of skin and helps in bleaching dark spots, pigmentation and blemishes. Lemon too, has bleaching properties. Continue with this method before going to bed a few times during the week.

ALOE VERA
What you need: 2 tbsp of aloe vera gel and 1/2 tbsp of raw, organic honey
What you need to do: Mix and incorporate both the ingredients and set paste aside for 10 minutes. Then, apply the paste to your face on the affected parts and wait for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and that will be it.
Why you need this: Aloe vera helps in reducing dark spots and even protects from sun damage and other dangers. Moreover, it cleanses the skin and helps balance it.

ORANGE PEEL
What you need: You need an orange peel, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp milk and 1 tsp of honey.
What you need to do: Grind the orange peel to a powder mixture and then add all wet ingredients. Apply the paste to your face and leave on for 20 minutes. Thenm rinse off with lukewarm water.
Why you need this: The citric acid in orange peels helps in regulation of melanin production, which in turn helps reduce pigmentation. Milk, lemon and honey have awesome properties as well
