    Beauty Hooked

The idea of scrubbing scalps seem pretty odd, most of our hair care routine revolves around shampoo, conditioner and a weekly protein treatment however those are not the only steps you should be doing. Scalp exfoliation is an essential step that most of us are ignoring. The skin on our scalp has the same texture as the skin on the rest of the body. It has pores, it gets dirty, it sweats therefore it requires the same love.

Scrubbing the scalp essentially detoxifies it, cleanses it from all the dirt, oil build up and dead skin. It maintains a healthy PH level which in turns boosts the hair growth, reduces dandruff and hair fall.

There are plenty of scalp scrubs available on the market but if you want to go easy on your pocket, you can try this homemade scrub for luscious locks.

    Homemade Scalp Scrub
    • 2 Tbsp of lemon juice
    • 2 Tbsp of olive oil
    • 2 Tbsp of sea salt

mix them well and apply to the scalp, gently massaging the scalp with the scrub. Lemon juice is a natural exfoliator which will remove dead skin from the scalp whereas the olive oil will help in moisturizing and providing vitamin A.
