What is Matcha
Matcha is basically green tea that has been used by the Japanese & Chinese for many years. Matcha has recently caught interest of the western world and through them, we are being introduced to this fascinating product. Matcha is believed to have various health benefits, it is rich in antioxidants which helps with acne and improves skin elasticity.
DIY Matcha Masks
For all skin types
Take 1tsp of Matcha Powder and ½ tsp of honey. Mix the two ingredients well and apply for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, wash it off with water. Honey has anti-inflammatory properties and moisturizes the skin deeply.
For dry skin
Take 1tbsp of Matcha powder and mix it up with ½ tsp of coconut oil, apply for 15 minutes and wash it off. Coconut oil is known for its hydration properties, it even helps to treat eczema.
For oily skin
Take 1tsp of Matcha Powder and few drops of aloe vera gel, you can use store brought gel or can take fresh aloe vera and take out the gel. Mix both ingredients and put it on for 15 minutes, wash it off with water. Aloe vera absorbs excel oil sebum from the skin without drying it up, its hydrating properties ensures that the skin remains moisturized.
