Fruits are packed with nutrients that can make such great skin care products, from masks to toners to astringents and cleansers. Today we are bringing to you some amazing DIY masks that works well for oily skin but also for combination skin types.Before you make these masks, do remember that fruit juices can make your skin a little sensitive to light, so dont put them on and go in the sun.
Strawberry acne mask
Strawberries are not only super delicious, they act as a natural astringent. Strawberry juice contains a natural exfoliating acid that removes dead skin. This is best used on oily or combination skin. Strawberries also have salicylic acid in them which is the acid that is used in most anti acne products.
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 egg whites
- 3 teaspoon honey
- 1 cup strawberries, with stems removed
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
Take all the ingredients and put it in a blender, blend it well so that there are no clumps. Apply it all over your face in a circular motion so that the brown sugar can exfoliate the skin. Let it stay on the skin for about 10 minutes then rinse.
Lemon whitening mask
This is another great mask that works as a natural peelers, lemon & yogurt both have peeling agents while honey will nourish the skin. Egg whites is loaded with proteins that will help to strengthen the skin.
- 1 egg white
- 4 teaspoon lemon juice
- 3 teaspoon full fat greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 4 drops of essential oil
Mix all the ingredients well and apply all over the face, keep it on for 10 minutes then rinse.
Raspberry clay mask
Rasberries are a good source of vitamin C and vitamin A, you can buy frozen raspberries but if its not available you can substitute it for strawberries as well. Bentonite clay will further clear out the pores by drawing all the gunk out of the pores.
- 1/4 cup of frozen raspberries or strawberries
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 2 teaspoon bentonite clay
- 2 teaspoon of oatmeal
Mash the raspberries /strawberries and add the rest of the ingredients. Apply it to the face, let it dry and rinse off with lukewarm water.
