1) Multani Mitti mask
This mask has been handed down from our grandmothers and is a tried & tested formula for healthy, glowing skin. Multani mitti is natural clay that is full of very beneficial minerals. For this mask you need:
- Two teaspoon of multani mitti
- Pinch of tumeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of sandalwood powder
Add water and mix all the ingredients together to form a paste. Apply it on your face for about 15 minutes or till it dries out. Wash off with cold water. This pack can be used 3 to 5 times a week.
2) Aloe Vera mask
It is a known fact that aloe vera is a miraculous ingredient for our skin. It has been used in beauty & cosmetics for years and dates back to the times of Pharaoh in ancient Egypt. It is known to remove suntan and dark spots. This one is a real gem if you want to look all glowy on the shaadi! For this mask, you will need:
- 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel
- 1/2 spoon of turmeric powder
- Little bit of honey
Mix all the ingredients well and apply all over the face, ideally for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 at night. Was off with lukewarm water. This mask will give you a super fresh look and aloe glow!
3) Fruit mask
Fruits contain huge quantities of beneficial vitamins that are beneficial for our overall health as well as skin. Papaya is one such fruit that has vitamin A, C and E, it is great for lightening and exfoliating skin, fading away dark spots and promoting the production of collagen. For this mask, you need:
- 1/2 cup of masked riped papaya
- 2 tablespoons of honey
Mix it well and apply it all over your face, after 20 minutes, rinse off with lukewarm water.
4) Green tea mask
Green tea is great for calming the skin and controlling sebum production, combined with rice flour, the mask will give exfoliation effect as well. For this mask you need:
- 3 teaspoons of green tea
- Half a cup of water
- Equal portion of rice flour
Brew the green tea and let it cool, add equal portion of rice flour to the green tea and mix well. Apply it on face and let it sit for 20 minutes. The mask wil exfoliate the skin and pull out all the dirt.
Use these face masks and enjoy the clear, glowing skin. Remember to use a moisturiser after the mask.
