Daytime Makeup Rules You Should Be Following!

Do you wear makeup everyday? It can be tricky to wear makeup in daylight. We all want to hide our imperfections, look more awake and look presentable for work or school. But if you dont pick up the right formula or choose wrong colors, you can look tired and out of sorts. To help you look great everyday, we have some rules you should be following that will make you look oh so amazing!

RULE # 1: Always use sunscreen

The first rule of daytime makeup is to NEVER SKIP sunscreen. No matter what foundation you are applying even if it has SPF in it, you have to always protect your skin by applying a sunscreen before you apply rest of the makeup. Some women skip this step thinking that the foundation and all the layers of makeup is enough to protect their skin against the sun, this is far from the truth.

RULE # 2: Dont use dark eyeliners

As a general rule, you should try to stay away from dark liners in daylight as it can easily turn you into a goth. We all want to look awake and makes our eyes pop, but dark liners can be a bit too heavy for the day. Instead choose bright shimmery shadows that will give your eyes some definition and make them pop. Along with black mascara, the shimmery shadows will look great!

RULE #3: Opt for bright lipstick

Daytime make doesnt mean that you always have to wear gloss. You can opt from bright lipsticks in creamy formula that will immediately uplift your look. A creamy formula will make it easier for you to touch up as compared to matte formula that will make your lipstick cakey overtime. For a more lived in look, skip the liner and smudge your lipstick with your fingers.

RULE # 4: Dont choose false lashes

If you are a falsies lover, you need to keep them away for daytime as they are just too much.  Only those who are pretty skilled at wearing them will make them look natural. Instead of falsies, curl your lashes and apply voluminous & lengthening mascara.

Rule # 5: Skip the heavy highlighter and contour

Carving out your features is too harsh at daytime. Daytime lighting doesnt require you to create an illusion of chiseled features. OPt for sublt bronzer instead and a little highlighter to give a glow. Subtly contour the cheekbones and shimmer on tip with cream highlighter and you are done for the day.
