Is Epiliating the Easiest Hair Removal Technique?

An epilator is an electrical device used to remove hair by mechanically grasping multiple hair simultaneously and pulling it out. The way in which epilators pull out hair is similar to waxing. Epilators come with a rechargeable and battery operated design, and can be used on wet and/or dry skin. They may also come with various attachments, like a smaller head to help with the epilation of hard-to-reach areas, or an exfoliation head that may help exfoliate the skin before and after epilation.

How To Use Epilators?

  • For best results, exfoliate or scrub your skin before using the machine. Which removes dead skin cells and prevents ingrown hair from coming.
  • Position the epilator at a 90-degree angle to your skin. Do not try to press the device against your skin. Just hold it loosely against the skin.
  • Stretch your skin and then slowly move the epilator in the direction of the growth of your hair. If you move the epilator to the opposite direction of hair growth, you will cut the hair but you won’t remove it from the roots.

Benefits of Epilating?

  • Epilators work in the way waxing does,  they also help remove hair from the roots.
  • With epilating, you get smooth skin that lasts up to 4 weeks.
  • Epilation is not just for your legs. Can be used for different body parts.
  • After epilating when the hair grows back it is more softer than before.
  • The new wet usage epilators make the process extra kind and painless to the skin, massaging rollers that restore the skin before and soothes it after you are done.
  • Epilators are a one time investment where as waxing costs every month.

Side Effects of Epilating?

  • It is painful for some skin types but with time skin gets used to it and you don’t even feel it anymore but if your skin is overly sensitive we would recommend you other hair removal techniques.

BEAUTY HOOKED’S VERDICT

Epilating can leave soft and smooth skin, with results lasting up to four weeks at the swipe of a switch. However, while the results are shockingly impressive this hair removal method comes with some pain as well. The more you use epilators and improve your epilating technique the less pain you may feel. Epilation might even become your favorite hair removal technique but for some skin types it may end up being more painful than waxing. Hair removal methods purely depend on your skin type and hair  thickness. If your skin is epilator friendly you are good to go but it takes sometime to really figure this out  in the first  place.
